RTV-2 Silicone Rubbers for Mold Making / Reproduction

The NEVOSIL® MSA product group is composed of addition-curing RTV-2 silicone rubbers. Components A and B are mixed to obtain a workable rubber. Curing conditions can be accelerated by the addition of heat. No volatile by-products are formed and hence no shrinkage occurs.

The NEVOSIL® MSC product group is composed of condensation-curing RTV-2 silicone rubbers. The NEVOSIL® MSC type of a product and a suitable catalyst are mixed to obtain a workable rubber. Curing conditions can be changed according to the type of catalyst used. A volatile, low molecular weight alcohol is formed as a by-product.

Due to their wide range distinctive mechanical properties, NEVOSIL® MSA and NEVOSIL® MSC products can be used in the mold making/reproduction process of polyester resin models, architectural and decorative materials, handicrafts, etc.
